Mi'kmaw Artist Kelsie Young

Hi! I'm Kelsie Young, owner and indigenous artist of Dream Webs - Dreamcatchers & House Blessing. Dream Webs is a fusion of my education in Eastern healing with my indigenous roots. The goal of Dream Webs is to help the world sleep well & live better.

I personally hand-craft everything you see in my shop and  I smudge each piece at sunrise using the traditional Sacred medicines of sweetgrass, tobacco, cedar and sage. This is a deeply spiritual practice that helps cleanse the artwork of any of my residual energy and prepares it for its new owner.

I was taught the traditional arts of basket-weaving, wooden flowers & dreamcatchers from my elders here in Mi'kma'ki (Nova Scotia) and I am to share this healing art this those who need it.

Dreamcatchers

Dreamcatchers are tradition healing medicine of the indigenous peoples of Turtle Island and our teachings say that dreamcatchers will catch your bad dreams. The legend tells of the spider thanking Mother Earth for her protection by sharing his gift of weaving webs.

“See and learn, for each web will snare bad dreams. Only good dreams will go through the small hole. This is my gift to you. Use it so that only good dreams will be remembered. The bad dreams will become hopelessly entangled in the web.”

- The Spider

And Much More!

In addition to dreamcatchers, Kelsie also offer traditional energy cleansing using the smudging ceremony, through her house blessing services. Whether you have a new home, a newborn or things that go bump in the night, having your house blessed will help you maintain a positive and peaceful environment. She also offers Reiki Healing at a distance, chakra toning and meditation coaching.
